Today marks a key milestone for the Paris 2024 ticketing system, less than three months before the Olympic Games opening ceremony. With over nine million tickets already sold, Paris 2024 launched the official ticketing app “Paris 2024 tickets” at 11 a.m.

This eagerly awaited app, downloadable on smartphones, is indispensable for accessing tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On the day of the event, only a ticket presented through the “Paris 2024 tickets” app will allow access to competition venues.

The “Paris 2024 tickets” app has three main functions. It allows users to:

1. Access all their tickets (except for ceremonies; tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be available on the app from mid-June).
2. Transfer tickets. Each recipient will need to download the app and log in to retrieve their ticket(s).
3. Resell one or more tickets.

By launching its ticketing app well ahead of the Games, Paris 2024 aims to help future spectators organize themselves in advance, calmly. Paris 2024 also encourages each buyer to transfer their tickets now to their recipients so they can receive all the information about their session, facilitating smoother access to competition venues on the event day.

How to access your tickets:

• Use the same username and password as on the ticket sales site to log into your account and find all your tickets.

How to manage recipients and transfer tickets:

• To transfer a ticket, click “Transfer” under the concerned ticket, select the desired messaging tool (email, instant messaging…), choose the contact, and share the link inviting them to download the app and retrieve their ticket.
• It is possible to cancel a transfer or transfer the ticket to another person if the initial recipient refuses it or returns it to the buyer.

How to retrieve a transferred ticket:

• After downloading the app, the recipient must log into their ticketing account (or create one if they don’t have one). By clicking the link received from the buyer and then the “Retrieve” button, the ticket is added to their app.

How to resell tickets on the official resale platform:

• Only the buyer can resell tickets on the official platform.
• The app is essential for resale: the ticket holder selects the ticket they wish to resell on the app, making it available for sale on the platform.
• This is the only official and authorized resale channel: resale is transparent for both the seller and the buyer:
  • For the seller, who is notified as soon as their ticket is sold or can withdraw it from sale at any time directly from the platform.
  • For the buyer, who is guaranteed to purchase a valid ticket at its original price (face value), with additional processing fees (5% for the seller, 10% for the buyer).

• Resale will be possible until 12 hours before the start of the concerned session.
